Sweet Home Okinawa

25 Jan

After spending about 18-20 hours on a plane, I have finally made it back safely to Okinawa. I cannot stress how relieved and excited I am to be back in Okinawa.

There is nothing wrong with being back in the United States, I just love and appreciate so many little things that Okinawa has to offer. I think it is going to be extremely difficult when the time arrives for me to leave this amazing island in five months. I will definitely go kicking and screaming for sure!

Nothing better than being back with my beautiful wife, dog, and camera! You know I can’t forget the camera. And if you were wondering, I listed them in the order of importance starting with my old lady. Although, I think the dog may have to learn a couple new tricks or the camera might take over the number two position, haha.

Needless to say, I never want to leave Japan again…I love Japan!

Thanks John…Do you have any new work out??

I have been checking the Okinawa Living magazine for some of your new stuff! I would love to see what you have been working on.

I have taken a small break so I could concentrate my efforts on some other things.

I did go out with the 14mm doing some shooting last weekend, but as much as I love my Canon 24mm, the 14mm is so soft it really made me wish I had that new Nikon 14-24mm. :/

Hopefully I will have some new stuff out soon. Hey, if you have anything you think might make a nice photo essay or “parting shot”, shoot it my way.

    Hey there Jason,

Congratulations on making it back from the U.S. in one piece. Ugh, the flight is a beast, isn’t it? Add that to the number of reasons I haven’t been back in a while…

    Take care.

Why don`t you make Japan your home? It is a good place to live.

    freedomwv,

I would love to make Japan my home. However, I live in Okinawa because I am stationed here with the Air Force. So, I have to go where the military needs me. It has been great so far. I plan on squeezing every ounce of fun out of Okinawa before I leave this summer!!

    Chris,

I am starting to feel it. The countdown is at about 4 months!! I think I am going to be depressed when I leave this place.
