Stonehenge
5 Sep
Within a month of arriving in the United Kingdom my wife and I decided to go and see one of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge. After an hour or so of driving we finally arrived at this famous location and it was well worth the drive.
Stonehenge is located approximately two miles west of Amesbury and eight miles north of Salisbury. There have been many theories to the origin of Stonehenge throughout the years. Most recently the Stonehenge Riverside Project uncovered information that indicates Stonehenge was a burial ground from its earliest beginnings.
No matter what theory is correct, it was truly fascinating to stand at such a historic landmark and take in everything Stonehenge had to offer.
Here are a couple pictures from the day
