Photo Day: Road Trippin | Okinawa, Japan

29 Nov

Today my sister Jenn who is stationed about five minutes down the road from me called and wanted to do some shopping. I wasn’t all that interested at first, but after the shopping my sister and a couple of friends she works with mentioned how they haven’t had the chance to see Okinawa at all.

I decided I would drive and show them a couple of nice spots close to the Kadena area. We went to Gate 2, Maeda Point, Cape Zanpa , and Zakimi Castle . It was refreshing to get out and show newcomers some nice areas to visit. I have lived here for nearly three years and I am glad to show other around when I get the opportunity.

Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.

    I like the shot of the wall with the sun beams in the background. It almost looks like an HDR shot, is it?

    It looks like Okinawa has way better ruins than anything I’ve seen on mainland Japan.

    @Jason,

    Thanks, I really like the look of those sun beams. I’ve been to those ruins so many times, but that day was just right for photography.

    It is HDR….I dont like to over do it though with the HDR look.
