Here is a link or two, to B&H photo, since you use them. These are the 3 in one, a diffuser, a silver reflector, gold reflector. You will use these at every out door shoot, as they are so usefull! Keep up the awesome blog, I love to read about Japan, and your days there!

@Emil, Thanks for the comment. I plan on really using it this weekend. Hopefully the weather holds up!

@Becky
I would just love it if I owned the 70-200 f/2.8. Too bad I got the 80-200 f/2.8 :).
I definately plan on using this lens for sports, but more importantly...portraits. I wish my budget would allow for another lens. I suppose I can wait another year before buying something in this price range again.
Thanks for stopping by.

Jay - You'll love your Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 for sporting events. I bought mine last fall and it is usually the only lens I use! I bought the VR version and I'm really glad I did. Even with the VR, I still use a monopod when shooting my nephew's sporting events (either I'm not very stable or I just get nervous when he is playing so I experience some camera shake). Being able to set the aperture to 2.8 is absolutely wonderful!

I used to shoot sports with my kit 70-300 f4.5-5.6 and it was great for outdoors, but I found I really need the larger 2.8 aperture for indoor sports photography. For football, I do miss the extra 100 mm of the 70-300mm, but prefer the 2.8 aperture of the 70-200mm over the longer lens length.

I'm now saving for the 24-70mm f/2.8 so I can get closer to the wrestling mat ... I also understand that this lens is great for portraits ... I don't do any of that, but hey, who knows?

Good luck shooting!
