I never took up scuba diving, but I did routinely go free diving when I got the chance. My wife and I just left not too long ago and we miss it dearly. I have learned so much about the culture and amazing traditions. I feel so comfortable here and have lots of friends both American and locals. It is a great learning experience. My wife and I will miss the island a lot. It is hard to truly describe to others the great culture there. You just have to experience it for yourself.
